Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said:
"I am currently seeking to recruit an individual to perform the role of Chief Of Staff at my office based in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the senior leadership and operational delivery of key functions contained within the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011. Responsibilities will include leading the development of the Police and Crime Plan for Essex, performing the role of Statutory Monitoring Officer and supporting me in holding the Chief Constable of Essex Police to account. This new role replaces the former role of Chief Executive of the Essex Police Authority."
