We saw the vital advice and support provided to young people on Canvey Island. We have invested in a range of initiatives across Essex designed to stop vulnerable young people being drawn into a life of crime and help all our communities be safer. “By investing in charities and community groups like Yellow Door and working with partners across the county we are reaching out and tackling the root causes of crime and anti-social behaviour, stopping young people being drawn into gang activity, while offering a roadmap for a fulfilling future life.” Rebecca Harris, MP for Castle Point, said: “It was good to have Roger back on the Island again to speak to the Officers working at Canvey Police Station, hear how popular the town teams are with local businesses and residents, and learn more about the amazing youth work Yellow Door does.”
