PFCC highlights priority to promote positive culture and develop workforce at Asian Fire Service Association event

Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, hosted and spoke at an evening event in support of the Asian Fire Service Association (ASFA) summer conference last week.
Mr Hirst, speaking at the event at the Colchester Community Stadium on Wednesday 16th July, highlighted how Essex County Fire and Rescue Service has been on a journey with the focus on transparency and improving culture.
Mr Hirst said: “As Commissioner, I develop and publish a Fire and Rescue Plan. This plan highlights what I’ve heard is important to our public. I then set clear priorities the Service works to deliver through the Community Risk Management Plan.
“In my latest plan, one of these priorities is to promote a positive culture and develop the workforce. Here in Essex, the steps we have taken are to be commended, with those positive steps continuing in the future.”
