PFCC Roger Hirst meets with residents in Tendring

[caption id="attachment_25284" align="alignleft" width="225"] PFCC Roger Hirst[/caption] Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Roger Hirst spent the day in Walton-on-the-Naze yesterday talking to residents about their local concerns. Roger joined Essex County Council Cabinet members on the walkabout and met with representatives from Frinton Residents Association, Great Holland Residents Association and Tendring District Council. Along with Cllr Scott, the Cabinet member for Highways, they discussed Police Community Support Officers, community participation and how road designs and the layout of junctions could help make roads safer. Both Roger and Cllr Scott took away actions to follow up from the discussions. It was a useful day to hear first-hand about issues the community have and how we can work together to make them feel safer. Roger also spoke to volunteers from the local Community Speedwatch group and a retired firefighter.
