PFCC tribute to PC Mathew Parker

It is with great sadness that Essex Police have today confirmed the identity of a police officer who tragically died in the line of duty while responding to an emergency.

PC Mathew Parker, a motorcycle officer with the Chigwell Roads Policing Unit, died on Wednesday, 19 November, at 12:25pm on the A12.

Roger Hirst, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said: “We pay tribute to PC Mathew Parker, a valued and respected Essex Police officer who died in the line of duty, while responding to an emergency. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and colleagues.”
