Clipboard featuring headline that ASB incidents in Essex are down by over 70 per cent

A short video highlighting the success of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and partners, including Essex Police, in driving down anti-social behaviour in Essex is now available to view.

The video highlights the fact that since April 2016 incidents of anti-social behaviour in Essex have decreased by over 70 per cent.

Among the tactics used to achieve this dramatic decrease is using data to identify ASB hotspots across Essex and securing funding to put extra community safety patrols in place during periods when incidents are known to occur.

Roger Hirst, PFCC for Essex, said: “People who live and work in Essex repeatedly told us they wanted more visible policing in their communities and we have responded – the results speak for themselves.

“Our communities deserve to live in safe neighbourhoods where police are not strangers but visible, responsive and working with local businesses, groups and neighbourhoods to identify and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.”
