PEOPLE still have the chance to get their questions in ahead of the next Essex Police Challenge Event. Taking place on Thursday September 11 in Colchester, the event will see Essex Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Nick Alston questioning the county’s Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh over issues including police performance. Members of the public can quiz the PCC and Chief Constable direct about crime and policing-related issues and can still submit a question ahead of the event. Other issues discussed by the PCC and Chief Constable include: changes to local policing and what this means for Colchester and rural areas in North Essex; and the progress of the investigation into the two recent and tragic murders in the district. The Essex Police Challenge takes place on Thursday September 11 from 7.30pm until 9.30pm at the Sixth Form College on North Hill, Colchester. To submit a question for the Essex Police Challenge, write to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner or email EssexPoliceChallenge@essex.pnn.police.uk For more details, including how to submit your question by post, call the office of the Police and Crime Commissioner on: 01245 291600 or visit www.essex.pfcc.police.uk
