Watch the Essex Police Challenge held in Brentwood on October 29, 2015

The Essex Police Challenge is a key part of how Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, holds Stephen Kavanagh, the Chief Constable of Essex, to account on behalf of the people of our county. A video recording of the event held on October 29, 2015, at the Brentwood Theatre, divided into six sections, each twenty minutes long, can be viewed here. The meeting began with an introduction from the PCC and Chief Constable. There were then presentations, with questions and answers from the audience, about: – the financial challenges – the policing context – the Essex Police property estate – improving contact between police and the public – proposals for local and community policing Although this was the shape of the meeting, members of the audience asked questions about each of the key subjects throughout the evening.
