Essex County Fire and Rescue Service held a special celebration evening at the Service Training Centre in Witham to recognise colleagues moving from On-call to wholetime roles, as well as firefighters transferring into ECFRS.

The event, on Monday 12th October, celebrated the achievements of the new staff, recognised the commitment that brought them to this point, and formally welcomed them into the next stage of their careers.

Families, friends and colleagues watched proudly as the firefighters received their certificates.

Deputy Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Joel Charles and Assistant Chief Fire Officer (ACFO) James Taylor welcomed the firefighters to their new roles, alongside Area, Group and Station Managers and members of the Service Leadership Team.
