PFCC re-affirms commitment to working with business on visit to family firm

PFCC Roger Hirst MBE visited PFE Express Ltd in Witham today, celebrating the success of a local family business with a proud 40‑year history.

Alongside other dignitaries, Mr Hirst welcomed The Duke of Edinburgh, who unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark this milestone moment.

Mr Hirst said: “Essex thrives when enterprise and public services pull in the same direction. PFE Express’s 40‑year journey shows how innovation, skills and community values create jobs, boost our economy and help keep our county safe.” 

During the visit, Mr Hirst toured the new state‑of‑the‑art head office and warehousing facility and met with Chairman Peter Collins, who founded the business in 1984, and Managing Director Adam Collins, who joined the company at just 17.

Mr Hirst thanked the PFE Express team for their warm welcome and reaffirmed his commitment to working with local businesses across Essex to support growth, community safety and long‑term prosperity.
